Cast on 84 stitches using 4mm needles and dk yarn. 

30grams of yarn needed

K2tog = knit 2 stitches together

Rows 1-5: *k1, p1 repeat from * until end of the row.

Rows 6-10: *p1, k1 repeat from * until end of the row

Repeat rows 1-10 once more

Continue in

*K1, p1 repeat until end of the row   

Repeat this row until the hat measures 6inches from cast on.

Decrease

Row 1: *k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k2tog repeat from * until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 2: k1, p1, k1, p2, *k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p2 repeat from * until last 6 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1,

Row 3: k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, k2tog, repeat until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 4: k1, p1, k1, p3, *k1, p1, k1, p3 repeat from * until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 5: k1, p1, k1, p1, k2tog repeat until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 6: k1, p1, k1, p2, * k1, p1, k1, p2 repeat from * until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 7: k1, p1, k1, k2tog repeat until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 8: k1, p1, k1, p3, *k1, p3 repeat from * until last 2 stitches, k1, p1

Row 9: k1, p1, k2tog repeat until end of row

Row 10: p1, k1, p2, *k1, p2 repeat until last 2 stitches, k1, p1

Row 11: k1, k2tog repeat until end of row

Row 12: purl

Row 13: k2tog, repeat until end of row

Cut off a long tail and thread through remaining stitches. Pull tight and sew down seam. Fold up brim.
