Cast 29 stitches using dk yarn and 4mm needles. The square measures 5x5inches and you will need 10grams of yarn 

Rows 1-3: knit

Row 4: k2, p25, k2

Row 5 and alternative rows: knit

Row 6: k2, p8, k9, p8, k2

Rows 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 & 18: k2, p12, k1, p12, k2

Row 20: k2, p11, k3, p11, k2

Row 22: k2, p10, k5, p10, k2

Row 24: k2, p9, k7, p9, k2

Row 26: k2, p8, k9, p8, k2

Rows 28, 30 & 32: k2, p7, k11, p7, k2

Rows 34 & 36: k2, p7, k1, p9, k1, p7, k2

Row 38: k2, p7, k11, p7, k2

Row 40: k2, p25, k2

Rows 41-43: knit
