50grams of yarn needed

K2tog = knit 2 stitches together

Rows 1-6: *k1, p1 repeat from * until end of the row.

Rows 7-12: *p1, k1 repeat from * until end of the row

Repeat rows 1-12 once more

Continue in

*K1, p1 repeat until end of the row   

Repeat this row until the hat measures 8inches from cast on.

 

Decrease

Row 1: *k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k2tog repeat from * until end of row

Row 2: p1, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p2 *k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p2 repeat from * until last 6 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 3: *k1, p1, k1, p1, k1, k2tog, repeat from * until end of row

Row 4: p2, *k1, p1, k1, p3 repeat from * until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 5: *k1, p1, k1, p1, k2tog repeat from * until end of row

Row 6: p1, * k1, p1, k1, p2 repeat from * until last 4 stitches, k1, p1, k1, p1

Row 7: *k1, p1, k1, k2tog repeat from * until end of row

Row 8: p2, *k1, p3 repeat from * until last 2 stitches, k1, p1

Cut off a long tail and thread through remaining stitches. Pull tight and sew down seam. Fold up brim.
