Cross rib Ear warmer

Cross rib Ear warmer

Lovely ear warmer pattern that is stretchy and comfortable to wear. Due to the stretch, I would advise to measure your head and adjust length accordingly.

You will need: 7mm needles, chunky yarn, stitch holder, tapestry needle

Cast on using 7mm needles and chunky yarn. (If you are a loose knitter, then reduce your needle size to a 6mm.)

12 stitches for baby 19 grams

14 stitches for toddler 25 grams

16 stitches for child  34 grams

              20 stitches for adult 44grams

24 stitches for extra wide adult 54 grams

Increase stitches to make wider, keep number of stitches an even amount. I knitted the above ear warmers using paintbox simply chunky yarn, you can use any chunky yarn you like.

Autumn theme bonding squares or blank

Autumn theme bonding squares or blanket

All bonding squares must come in matching pairs as one goes to mum and the other to baby, these are swapped over every 8-12 hours, so baby has mums’ scent close by whilst in the incubator.

Each square is 5x5inches and If making the squares into a blanket you will need to make 25 minimum to make a blanket of 25x25inches. We need kangaroo blankets in 40x40inches please, you will need 64 squares for this.
