 Alaia's blanket 

A timeless blanket pattern that's suitable for any gender, easy to knit up in front of the tv or if you want an easy project to pick up and put down. 

You will need:

4mm needles

200grams or 590yards Of Dk yarn for preemie, 300grams or 885yards of DK yarn for baby and 400grams or 1180yards of DK yarn for cot size

Abbreviations:

k- knit

p- purl

Measures when completed- preemie 23x23inches or 58x58cm 

                                                   Baby 31x31 inches 78x78cm

                                                   Cot 41x41inches 104x104cm 

Cast on 113st for preemie, 153st for baby and 203st for cot blanket  

Rows 1-21: knit

Row 22: k10, p3, *k2, p3 repeat from * until the last 10st, k10

Row 23 and alternative rows: knit

Repeat rows 22 and 23 until desired length reached

Knit 21 rows

cast off and weave in the ends using the yarn needle.
