Hat

Cast on 80 stitches using 3.5mm needles in green

Row 1: k1, p1, repeat until end of row

Repeat until you have 8 rows of rib.

Change to 4mm needles, white, blue or pink yarn and stocking stitch.

Following rows continue in stocking stitch until hat measures 5.5inches from cast on.

Decrease

Row 1: k4, k2tog, repeat until the end of the row.

Row 2: purl

Row 3: knit

Row 4: purl

Row 5: k3, k2tog repeat until the end of the row

Row 6: Purl

Row 7: k2, k2tog repeat until the end of the row

Row 8: purl

Row 9: k1, k2tog repeat until the end of the row

Row 10: purl

Row 11: k2tog repeat until the end of the row

Row 12: purl

Row 13: k2tog repeat until the end of the row

Cut of length of yarn and draw through remaining stitches, pull tight and sew down seam.

 

Flower stem

Knitting – cast on 40 stitches with 3.5mm needles in green dk yarn and cast off. Loop onto the hat and sewn on securely. 

Crochet - With a 3mm and green dk yarn hook chain a long tail. Loop onto the hat and sewn on securely.
