Cast on 237 stitches using 4mm needles and dk yarn

45x45 inches in size and 550grams of yarn

Rows 1-21: knit

Row 22 & 24: k15, p207, k15

Row 23 and alternative rows: knit 

Row 26: k15, p7, *k1, p11 repeat from * until last 23 stitches, k1, p7, k15

Row 28: k15, p6, *k3, p9, * repeat from * until last 24 stitches, k3, p6, k15

Row 30: k15, p5, *k5, p7, repeat from * until last 25 stitches, k5, p5, k15

Row 32: k15, p4, *k7, p5, repeat from * until last 26 stitches, k7, p4, k15

Rows 34 & 36: k15, p3, *k9, p3 repeat from * until last 15 stitches, k15

Row 38: k15, p3, *k4, p1, k4, p3, repeat from * until last 15 stitches, k15

Finished blanket measures 21x21inches 160grams of yarn used 

Preemie rectangle blanket 21x30 inches 200grams of yarn used

colour suggestions for rainbow blanket: 

Red, orange, yellow, green, dark or royal blue, light blue, purple, lilac,  pink with white border top and bottom.
